In 2006 the Group handled in excess of 28,000 containers and 2.1 million tons of cargo through its strategically located port operations based at: · RMS Europe Ltd, who operate the Boothferry Terminal and the Covered Steel Terminal in Goole, the UK’s Premier Inland Port · Freshney Cargo Services Ltd, at Grimsby & Immingham · Flixborough and Gunness on the River Trent All five terminals are within easy reach of the UK’s industrial heartland, via the country’s motorway network; Boothferry Terminal in Goole, Freshney Cargo Services and Flixborough Wharf are also rail-connected. The UK’s inland waterway system can be directly accessed via Goole, Flixborough and Gunness, for customers interested in distribution via canal.
