	RMS Europe, Goole RMS Europe Ltd is based in Goole, Britain's premier inland port, which is located eighty kilometres from the open sea, only two kilometres from the arterial M62 motorway and close to it's junctions with the M18, A1 and M1. This gives us the strategic advantage of being closer to the UK’s industrial heartlands of the North and Midlands than any other East Coast port, thereby offering Customers savings on their road distribution costs. Distribution options from and to RMS Europe are not limited to road. A new rail link direct to our Boothferry Terminal was established in 2005 which provides great flexibility for the receiving and dispatch of cargo via this mode. The terminal is also close to a refurbished ‘rail head’. We are also directly connected to the UK’s canal network, thus providing truly intermodal distribution options. Vessels up to 100m in length, 24m beam and with a draught of 5.5m can be accommodated at RMS Europe Ltd’s Terminal, where we currently handle in excess of 700,000 tonnes of conventional cargo, over 45,000 containers and more than 600 ships per year. We have invested heavily in plant, machinery, personnel, warehousing and IT in order to ensure a fast, efficient, safe and secure service to our customers. We are BSEN 9001:2000 accredited. One of RMS Europe Ltd’s four berths is an undercover discharge facility for weather-sensitive cargoes such as steel and paper. The facility is equipped with two 35 tonne cranes for shipworking and two 35 tonne cranes for Receiving/Forwarding. Our outside berths are served by 2 x 32 tonne Container/Hook gantry cranes. We can also provide Heavy Lift Lo-Lo operations, and Heavy Lift Ro-Ro cargo vessels, using their own ramps, can be accommodated.
